Kirra Reef

Close to Kirra beach, one of
Australia’s most famous surfing beaches, lies a small rocky outcrop covered
with soft coral, seagrass, ascidians and sponges. The 8m depth range is an
ideal location for new divers. There are plenty of morays, wobbegong sharks
and macro life inhabiting the reef.
Access
It is reachable from the shore but
is more comfortable from a boat. If diving from the shore, the beach currents
need to be considered. |
